Bay Area Educators February Meetup: Stop-motion Animation

Berkeley High School’s Makerspace/FabLab will be hosting this month’s East Bay Maker Educator Meetup, and it’s all about stop-motion animation!

Facilitators from Berkeley Unified will be leading you through a beginner-friendly activity to get you going (using Google Chrome’s Stop-Motion Animator app), and then we’ll have you branch off and explore the many possibilities of stop-motion animation. The evening will culminate in a gallery walk where you get to show off and share your animations with other participants.

Important!: If you have a laptop, please bring it to the event. And if you don’t have Chrome installed, consider installing it to save time during the meetup. Also, we will provide some generic craft items and LEGOs, but you are invited to bring other items that you think you might want in your movie (figurines, math manipulatives, arts and crafts materials, etc.).

Date: February 27, 2020

Location: Berkeley High School, 1980 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704 (stay tuned for email about which entrance to use. When you register, you will enter your email.)

Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm

Registration: You can register at the Maker Educator Meetups Eventbrite page.
